To all Educators:

Maple Syrup Season will soon be here and it's time once again to invite School Groups from across Niagara to come witness the Natural Wonder of Maple Syrup Production at Agapé Valley's Sugar Bush & Pancake House nestled in the picturesque Niagara Escarpment.

The mighty maple tree grows in many parts of the world, but maple syrup is made in only certain parts of Canada and the United States. We are fortunate to live in an area that has its very own maple sugar bush. The production of maple syrup has changed very little over the last hundred years, from collecting the sap and turning the sap into maple syrup.

On your visit to Agapé Valley Sugar Bush, you will experience the following:

  • A hay wagon ride from our Pancake House to our Sugar Bush operation
  • A hike through the bush to see the different methods of sap collection
  • Travel through the years to compare today's process of syrup-making to the days of Native Americans and Pioneers
  • See how the syrup is bottled and labeled
  • Visit to our Sugar Shack Sweet Store
  • Maple goodie bag for every student
  • Pancakes & syrup snack (includes juice)

Cost is only $6.00 per person. ONE teacher is free for each class booked.

Our Sugar Bush School tours are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the month of March. There are no school tours during March Break (March 15-19). The School Tours are 1½ hours in length, and we have both morning and afternoon bookings.   The group size is a maximum of 70 students and parents (two groups of 35). If your class is smaller, we can accommodate you as well. Give us a call.

Advanced bookings are required so please don’t hesitate to call early.

Call 905-892-4273 today to reserve space for your Class Sugar Bush Outing. We look forward to seeing you and your students in the 2010 Season.

Yours Sincerely,
